From the Fishing Message Boards

One of my favorite memories of Steven was at the Versus show at the Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco. He loved Versus so much, and was so excited to be at the show. I asked Richard from Versus to play the song "Linus," which is a song about Richard's attention-hungry cat. I thought this would be funny because as everyone knows, whenever the band plays this song, Sharon Dang is in the audience at the show, and she gets up there, crawls around on stage and meows. Finally, during their encore, Richard says something like, "This next song requires audience participation for those of you who know to come up... " and he starts playing "Linus." Well, Sharon was nowhere to be found when they started playing the song - so I was saying to Steven, " Oh no - where's Sharon - she needs to get up there." Steven takes one quick look at me and jumps onto the stage and starts meowing into the microphone, joining the act. He seemed like he so naturally totally belonged up there. It was so great and spontaneous and so totally Steven.

So one could say that Steven has performed live with Versus.
