I am writing on behalf of Iris and myself in tribute to Steven. I can remember the first time that I met him. It was at Cindy and Iris's cousin's wedding rehearsal about 2 years ago in Los Angeles.

I remember being a bit nervous because I knew that it was my first time meeting the majority of Cindy and Iris's family.

At that time Cindy took it upon herself to introduce me to Steven, so that I would have someone to sit next to in the church during the ceremony while she and Iris served as bridesmaids. As Steven and I sat together, we started to chat about our work and how we individually met Cindy and Iris. Steven had a unique way of making you feel comfortable and at ease with his bright smile and warm genuine personality. I mentioned to Steven about meeting "the Family" for the first time and at that moment, he made me feel as if I was already was part of the family and that I had nothing to worry about.

Steven then started telling me about how he met Cindy. As he was talking, I could just see in his eyes, that he had a true, genuine and unconditional love for her. Cindy was the love of his life and I knew that Cindy felt the same way about him. Steven just had that warm welcoming presence about him, so much so that in that short span of time, I felt that I had made a great friend for life.

After the wedding, Iris and I had numerous opportunities to meet up with Steven and Cindy in San Francisco for dinner or just to hang out. Seeing the two together was like seeing a fairy tale about to come true. Two soul mates that were meant for each other and that were such perfect complements to one another. We knew that Cindy had someone very special.

Iris and I are blessed to have known someone of such great character, compassion, and love. We will forever be blessed to have known such a wonderful human being.
