During
the time I lived with Steven, I had a wonderful opportunity to discover
things about him that I wouldn't have otherwise seen. I remember our
long talks about relationships and the strength that comes from sharing
life with another. He truly understood how to love people and treated
all people with respect. From this respect and love for people arose
a willingness to help people with whatever they needed. He never shied
from opportunities to help even when it meant he had to put his own
projects aside. And boy did he have projects: reviving all the brown
and wilted orchids in the house, volunteer work, and skateboarding.
He threw himself fully and energetically into everything he did.
