Steven was a great friend who took the time to teach me many things about technology and always helped me out with computer issues during his tenure at NAATA. We would all partner up often and bitch about how we don't have enough money to really get the organization "teched-up." Then we'd start cracking jokes about all the funny and embarassing moments that've occurred during the Asian Am film festival to date; there were quite a few funny times. He was always engaged in the battle of the bulge and would often try to gather up a lunchtime posse; we soon got used to his noon-time chant: "Trader Joe's, Trader Joe's..."

I was looking forward to seeing him at the Festival this year and hoisting up a few beers. I will make sure to toast one up to the sky.

Rest in peace, old friend...
