From the Fishing Message Boards

Remember after Ed & Tina's engagement party at Alan & Mae-Ling's? If I remember right, Cindy and Steve and Kelvin and I escaped early and had coffee and cake at Max's Cafe. Great conversation, coffee and cake with a new friend - something I will always reflect fondly on.

The other vivid memory I have is from Ed and Tina's wedding a few months later. Everyone was jammed on the dance floor, dancing up a storm, and Roger Fan started talking about "movie auditions" and love scenes. So the crazy LA crowd began to get wild, encouraging couples to "audition" a make-out scene. What I remember is Steven and Cindy's Oscar-worthy "audition" - so much passion! What really struck me was how comfortable Steve was about the whole thing. Granted, maybe he just wanted to kiss Cindy, but he was really at ease with all of Cindy's friends. Not always an easy thing to do, warming up to a tight-knit gang like the LA crowd, but Steven managed it well.
