Steven was a dear friend, and Mary and I both feel that we are much better off having had the pleasure in calling him a friend. One of the best memories I have of Steven is a conversation that I had with another one of our friends when I was back in Chicago. We were doing the usual BS-ing, and started talking about all the people that we knew. One of the things that I will always remember is that although many of our friends had something that you could complain about (myself included), Steven was one of those people that we realized that nobody ever said a bad thing about, ever. To me, that said it all about Steven. Steven had an uncanny ability to touch the lives of everyone that he came into contact with, and there is nothing to mourn about that. Personally, I'm very happy to have been able to spend the time with him that I have, and consider that time to have been a blessing. -Wilbur Pan
